One of our Account Managers here at Page 1 (Dash Harrison) shared a great video with our department this week regarding some interesting facts about Facebook. Since I believe Facebook is so important to online marketing, I thought I would share some of the takeaways I got from the video he sent.

• As of 2011 there are 500,000,000 active Facebook users.
  
• 1 in every 13 people on EARTH use Facebook
  
• 48% of 18-34 year olds check Facebook when they wake up in the morning...
• About 28% check Facebook before they get out of bed on their smart phones.
• 71.2% of the U.S. population has Facebook
• 57% of people talk more online, than in real life!
• 48% of young Americans said they find out about NEWS through Facebook

So again I ask, why aren't you on Facebook? The numbers say it all. Your key demographic you want to reach are online and you have the ability to reach them before they even crawl out of bed in the morning!
