Timing your blog posts for the best results!

After participating in a webinar on the Science of Timing this week, I thought that it would be very beneficial for our clients to have more insight into timing their blog posts for the best results.

Based on research that has been compiled for many months, the following recommendations can be applied to any business. Keep in mind that you should track your results and that they may vary due to the uniqueness of your specific practice.

  • Know your audience; In general, most people read blogs in the morning. Interestingly, when broken down by gender, women read more blog posts in the morning and men read more blog posts in the evening.

  • They are more blog views during the week, Monday being the highest day for those views.

  • Wednesdays and Thursdays are the highest days for generating in-bound links to your blog posts. Other bloggers are researching materials for their own posts and tend to link to existing posts later in the week.

  • Comments on blogs spike on the weekend. This is because people tend to have more time to formulate questions or responses.

  • Blog often! If you are blogging at least once a week, you are most likely ahead of your competition. If you want to generate more links and traffic, blog at least once a day!

You can also have your blog posts feed into Facebook and Twitter to help spread your message and presence. Have multiple people in your practice post to your blog and if you want additional ideas or strategies, contact your account manager today to discuss how we can help you implement a new course of action.
